Privacy Policy
Remodel My Room turns a photo of your room into AI-generated redesigns. This page explains, plainly, what the app sends off your device, what never leaves it, and who else touches your data along the way.
1 Information we collect
Photos you choose to upload
When you take or select a photo of a room — or a style reference photo, for Style Transfer — it is sent from your device to our servers so our AI can generate your redesign, cleanup, or edit. We only receive photos you actively choose to submit; the app never accesses your photo library in the background.
A device identifier — not an account
The app generates a random identifier for your device and stores it in your device's secure keychain. It contains no personal information; we use it to keep your subscription status and design history working correctly across app launches, and to tell your requests apart from everyone else's when talking to our AI service.
Purchase and subscription data
If you subscribe, Apple's App Store or Google Play processes your payment directly — we never see your card details. Subscription status (active, trial, expired) and purchase events are shared with our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, using the same device identifier described above.
2 How we use it
- To generate the redesign, style transfer, cleanup, or edit you requested.
- To unlock premium features once a subscription is active, and to know when it lapses.
- To keep your saved design history working across sessions.
- To diagnose and fix problems when something breaks.
We do not use your photos to train AI models, we do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising — the app shows no ads and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
3 Third parties we work with

We don't run our own analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs — so beyond the four above, nothing else in the app talks to a third party.
4 What stays on your device
Your design history — the generated images, the room type, style, and palette you picked, and when you made them — is saved locally on your device only. It is not uploaded, synced, or backed up to any server by the app. Deleting a design in the History tab, or uninstalling the app, removes it for good.
The app asks for camera and photo-library access only when you choose to take or pick a photo, or save a finished design back to your photos — never in the background, and never without you initiating it.
5 Retention
Photos submitted for processing are kept only for as long as it takes to generate and deliver your design, and are not retained for any purpose beyond that. Locally saved design history stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app. If you'd like us to delete any data tied to your device from our systems, contact us — see Contact below.
6 No accounts
Remodel My Room has no sign-up, login, name, email, or password. We have no way to know who you are — only that a particular device identifier made a particular request. If you contact us, we'll only know what you tell us directly.
7 Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data described above, including encrypted transmission to our servers and secure on-device storage for your device identifier. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8 Children's privacy
Remodel My Room is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
9 Your choices
- Delete any saved design at any time from the History tab.
- Revoke camera or photo-library access anytime in your device's system settings — the "Allow Access" item in the app's Settings takes you straight there.
- Manage or cancel your subscription anytime through the App Store or Google Play — the "Manage Subscription" item in the app's Settings takes you straight there too.
- Contact us to ask what data we hold against your device identifier, or to request it be deleted.
10 Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
